A course called Garden restoration lead me and a friend to a private garden belonging to the former Haus Clausen in Halle/Saale, and we chose it as topic of our homework, an extensive research and analysis. The ensemble of house and garden was created at the end of the 20's of the last century by the Swiss architect Salvisberg and the famous German garden architect Harry Maaß. It is one of the rare examples of the architecture of the modern age in Halle and is protected by federal law.
The garden is a part of the newly established „BDLA garden worlds- Saxony-Anhalt garden walks“, a yearly event where garden owners open the doors of their green paradises and invite people to visit their place.
