Some time has passed now since I turned several years of studies into a proper degree: Graduate
Engineer (FH) for Landscape Architecture (German title: Diplom-Ingenieurin (FH) Landespflege
in der Studienrichtung Garten- und Landschaftsarchitektur)
Since then, many things have happened: The desire to discover, what the education was worth and what I
can achieve or even change with it, was stronger than ever in my life before. And at least as strong as this
was the imagination to take my dreams and ambition over to Great Britain.
It was in autumn 2006 when I moved to the heart of England, where I work now and enjoy making my first
own professional steps. Of course I also love having a closer look at the country and its people, but in
particular its landscapes and gardens, watching and admiring places where people enjoy staying and
where they can relax.
One thing is for sure since I graduated: I go on learning, conciously or unconciously, maybe this is just
the beginning of it. They say, it won't stop until my retirement and sometimes it will go even further. I have
known it for a long time that learning in practice is much more fun than in lectures.
And this is just a side effect: Eventually, it's all about turning ideas into reality, the using of
knowledge and last but not least about the creation of gardens and exteriors myself where people
like to stay, to relax, where they feel comfortable and which they- perhaps- admire a bit...
